基本的には、輪読方式でおこなう。受講生は指定された論文テキストを割り当てられ、その内容をまとめた資料に基づき解説するとともに、質問に答える。また、統合的認知研究の学術研究発表に関する実践的な指導も行う。

発表者になったときの発表水準、質疑応答への参加、資料の完成度、出席回数などを元に成績を評価する。試験は行わない。
