Physiological Anatomy of Human Body
In this lecture series, students will learn fundamental concepts related to the structure and function of living organisms, with a focus on understanding biological organization at the levels of the whole organism, organs, and cells. Through these lectures, students will become familiar with the major organs of the human body and their physiological roles.
Students will be able to explain the structures and functions of the central, somatic, and autonomic nervous systems; the skeletal and muscular systems; and the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, hepatic, urinary, reproductive, and endocrine systems. In addition, students will understand key physiological mechanisms, including neuronal excitation and conduction, synaptic transmission, muscle contraction, hormone secretion and action, regulation of blood pressure, urine formation and homeostasis, and the control of digestion and nutrient absorption.
