Music Composition and Sound Design for Motion Picture
映像と音楽や音響の関係を分析し、音楽やサウンドデザインの制作者の意図と制作方法を理解する。短い映像（実写、アニメーションなど）のための音楽とサウンドデザインの制作を経験する。
The course aims to learn to analyze visual and auditory aspects in the motion picture and to understand the creative processes and the intention of the music and sound design. The students will experience creating music and sound design for short films of live-action and animation.

授業計画
映像のジャンル、時代やスタイルによって異なる音楽とサウンドデザインの制作方法を分析によって理解する。
The students will analyze and understand the different creative methods exercised in the music and sound design for a different genre, era, and style of the pictures.
授業の方法
受講生は、自分で選んだ映像作品の音楽とサウンドデザインを分析し発表する。また、グループによる短い映像作品の音楽とサウンドデザインを完成して講評会を行う。
Each student will present the analysis of the music and sound design in a film of one's choice. Also, the students are to submit their group works and receive feedback in the review sessions.
成績評価方法
映像作品の分析と発表、講評会での発言を評価する。
Evaluation will be done based on the student's analysis, presentation, and the comments and remarks in the review session.

履修上の注意
受講生に課す「音楽とサウンドデザインの分析と発表」を意識して映像作品を鑑賞しておくこと。
When watching cinematic works, reflect on the course assignment of analyses and presentations on the music and sound design.
受講生は20名以内に制限する。
The number of students is limited to 20.
その他
映画、アニメーション、テレビ番組などの音楽やサウンドデザインに集中して聴取する経験をしておく。
制作者の意図を理解するために、可能ならできるだけ高性能な音響再生装置を使うこと。
Please focus on the music and sound design when watching movies, animations, or TV programs in daily life. If possible, do use high-quality audio equipment in order to understand the intentions of the creators.
コロナが収束すれば、録音と波形編集の体験、NHKのスタジオ見学を行う。
If the COVID subsides, the students will experience recording and waveform editing, and visit the NHK studio.
