社会・環境・健康と東アジアI(9)

社会・環境・健康と東アジアI(9)/Society, Environment, Health, and East Asia I (9)
The objective of this course is to offer a venue to explore classic and critical literature on collective actions and democracy. Given the impact of and recovering from the pandemic, there have been compelling discussions on the threat to democracy and the role of citizens and civil society. As part of EAA’s NOZOMI initiative, which strives to imagine the world in thirty years and uncover academic fields that can enrich our community (for more details, see https://www.eaa.c.u-tokyo.ac.jp/*****), we will draw inspiration and clues from these readings and deepen our understanding of these issues. All students with an interest in these topics are warmly welcomed.
