Special Research Work in Interdisciplinary Sciences (graduation project)
The Graduation Project is one of the most important requirements in the ES senior division program. Technically, it is completed by taking two courses: Special Seminar in Interdisciplinary Sciences (4 credits) and Special Research Work in Interdisciplinary Sciences (6 credits). In practice, each student must belong to a professor’s laboratory and engage in research activity under the supervision of the professor.
In the Special Seminar in Interdisciplinary Sciences, the student is expected to participate in laboratory meetings, workshops, etc. Accreditation for the seminar is determined at the end of the academic year and the grade is awarded based on evaluation by the supervisor. Special Research Work in Interdisciplinary Sciences involves engaging in research activity under the supervisor, delivering an oral presentation at the project presentation session, and submitting a graduation thesis. The grade and accreditation are determined based on the judgment of both the supervisor and the academic affairs committee upon the completion of the project.
