Given the narrow specific but emotionally laden topic, this class is a discussion class. The discussion is centered around the reading assignment. The reading will be given to you in paper format at the previous session, sent out to you vie e-mail, or posted at the website for a limited period of time.

Since this is a discussion class, your participation is essential. In addition, I am expecting a solid term paper on a relevant topic of your choice. This means that you need to have active interest in wartime sexual violence and need to spend substantial time doing research.
