イギリス帝国゠コモンウェルス論文講読
英語の学術雑誌に掲載されたイギリス帝国、コモンウェルス（英連邦）、帝国、グローバリゼーション、脱植民地化、冷戦、第三世界、思想、イデオロギーなどに関する論文（2010年代以降の比較的新しいもの）を毎週1つずつ読み、それらのテーマについての理解を深める。

授業の方法
毎週、事前に割りあてられた発表者が、指定された論文について、レジュメを用いて内容を日本語で要約するとともに、批判的に検討し、論点や疑問点を提示する。その後、他の履修者も含めて、発表内容を中心に質疑応答と議論を行う。発表者以外も、指定された論文を必ず読んでくることが求められる。
成績評価方法
授業での発表、質疑応答と議論への貢献から総合的に評価する。

第1週目のガイダンスで参考文献リストを配布する。
履修上の注意
授業時間は90分間（17:05-18:35）だが、演習形式の授業であり、質疑応答や議論を重視するため、多少の時間延長はありうる。4月7日（月）5限の第1回目の授業（この回のみオンラインで行う）では、ガイダンスを行うとともに、第2回目以降の発表者を決める。様々な説明などを第1週目に行うので、特別な事情がない限り、履修希望者は必ず出席すること。授業で講読する論文は、東京大学図書館ウェブサイトのE-journal & E-book Portalからダウンロードすることができる（いくつかの論文はオープンアクセスとなっている）。東京大学図書館のウェブサイトからダウンロードできない論文は、教員から配布する。
