日本語(31)アカデミック・プレゼンテーション(基礎)(L3-L4)

Academic Presentations in Japanese (Basic)(L3-L4)
The course is designed for students at an intermediate level of Japanese (L3-4) and aims to develop ORAL SKILLS in academic contexts.

During the course, students will learn how to effectively give presentations regarding what they know and what they study. While gaining the fundamental knowledge to reinforce the logic of the presentation, such as organization and conjunction expressions, students will learn to describe graphs, charts, and tables, make comparisons, use citations, and concisely distinguish between written and spoken languages. A couple of presentations will be assigned as students learn the above, and they will conduct a survey and present the findings as a final project. Through assignments and class activities, students will be trained to persuasively deliver speeches.

Furthermore, students are encouraged to actively participate in peer reviews, which will strengthen their ability to revise their work. The topics and skills covered in this class will become the foundation for academic presentations in Japanese.

By the end of the course, students are expected to be able to:
1) Express their ideas and facts using academic Japanese in a persuasive manner.
2) Properly use written and spoken languages.
3) Develop presentation techniques.
4) Deepen their ideas through interactions with others.
5) Gain insights into revising their work by themselves.
