Topics in Political Economics

This course covers some of the recent developments in political economics with emphasis on structural empirical work. It is intended for students with an academic interest in political decision-making.

Referee Reports (32%) Students are required to submit 4 referee reports (2 for the part of Yas, and 2 for the part of Eric). The referee has to be submitted by 9am on the day of the class on the paper to be presented on that day. The report should be anonymous, and the instructor may distribute it to the class. Research Proposal (44%) By the end of the semester, students are required to write a research proposal, that consist of introduction, model, data, and estimation strategy (no need to estimate the model).
