Every Wednesday morning the first class (8:30) an instructor gives lecture with a special topic.
Bio-molecules, which are the constituent components of living organisms, possess specific functions such as molecular recognition and catalytic activity. These functions are exhibited by the bio-molecules themselves or by the formation of large molecular complexes. A deep understanding of bio-molecules can lead to the development of new guidelines for the synthesis of functional molecules and the development of analytical methods for elucidating molecular mechanisms. In this lecture, we explain the chemistry related to life phenomena, the structures and functions of bio-molecules and artificial molecules based on them, and the molecular recognition between them from a molecular perspective.
