日本の思想と宗教

　本講義では、倫理学・日本倫理思想史の視座から、「現存」をめぐる思索を通して日本の思想と宗教に迫る。ここでの「現存」は、己がいまここに生きるありようを指すとおさえておく。具体的には、能および謡曲の読みときを足掛かりにして考察を進める。また、読みとくという人間の営みは手ざわりを伴わずして成り立ちえない。そこで、我々の読みときにその手がかりを与えうる素材にも併せて目を向ける。
　能および謡曲は、神仏への信仰、死者への弔意など日本の思想を捉える上で欠くことのできない要素に満たされている。また室町時代以来いまに至るまで受け継がれ、日本の思想・文化の潮流内に特有の位置を占めてきたその実績から、現代日本に生きる我々の「現存」を、時代を超えて照らす格好の素材ともいえる。能および謡曲を研究する学問的視角は複数あるが、本講義ではあくまで「現存」を問う倫理学的思索に立脚し、能を倫理思想として捉えることで日本の思想と宗教への接近を試みる。

In this lecture, we will approach Japanese thought and religion from the perspective of ethics and history of Japanese ethical thought through speculations on "the life, right here right now". Specifically, it will be based on perusal of the theories and the dramas of Noh. The lecture will also employ materials that serve as clues for tangible comprehension.
The theories and the dramas of Noh compose of essential elements to understand Japanese thought, such as belief in the deities and Buddha and mourning for the deceased. Noh has been passed down for approximately 650 years and occupied a unique place in Japanese thought and culture. Although there are some methodologies on examining Noh, this lecture will attempt to approach Japanese thought and religion by considering Noh as an ethical thought, based on the perspective of pondering over "the life, right here right now".
