英語圏言語文化特殊講義

This course will cover research skills, structure, writing planning and style, plus other areas related to the production of a major research essay in English. The course is designed to offer a flexible approach to study, and can be tailored to individual student needs. The classes will be conducted in English. The primary focus in the second semester will be on essay writing and preparation for giving an academic paper.
This course will give students a deeper understanding of:
database usage
reading for content
annotation and literature reviews
writing in an appropriate style
presenting information concisely and cogently

授業の方法
The class will be conducted in English. The lesson plan may be modified depending on your actual progress. You will be expected to review the previous lesson, complete homework, and prepare for the next lesson as part of your outside preparatory work.
成績評価方法
1. In-class work 40% 2. Group essay 30% 3. Individual essay 30%
教科書
There are no textbooks for this course. Materials shall be provided by the lecturer, either online or via handouts. Each week, there shall be homework to complete, including extensive readings.
