An interaction between agent and environment via information is a base of intelligence. Therefore how to summarize and utilize information from the real environment is a key element in building robust intelligent systems. For this purpose, this class will introduce you to the elements and framework of pattern information processing and applications from the mathematical viewpoints by using probabilistic and statistical methods.
