Exploring a New Global Governance in the Changing Geopolitical Dynamics

The course explores a new global governance in the changing geopolitical dynamics, focusing, in
particular, on (1) interactions between economic security policies and industrial, science and
technology policies; and between policymakers and various stakeholder in the US, the EU, China and other
countries; (2) the development of Chinese economy; (3) International Trading System, (4) climate
change challenges and SDGs , (5) the digital transformation and innovation and (6) new corporate
capitalism. The objective of the course is to help participants understand and analyze an overview of
issues relevant to the today’s world in the geopolitical perspective. Of course each issue needs to be analyzed on its own merit but at the same time, in the rapidly changing global environment where we live, we need to have an overall perspective or "birds eyes view" and understand the underlying dynamics to change the
international landscape before looking into specific issues.
