Writing a Research Article

Research article
The aim of this course is to allow graduate students an opportunity to write a short research article using their own data. The goal is for students to have a fully formatted first-draft of their manuscript written by the end of the course. This course will cover topics such as how to select a target journal, how to write different sections of a manuscript, how to present tables and figures clearly and how to format a paper based on the target journal guidelines. As well as covering grammatical accuracy, we will pay particular attention to logic and structure. Students will receive timely feedback on their writing from the Instructor and other class members, and as well as guidance on how to make an effective and clear presentation.
