農学国際特論Ⅰ(Advanced Global Agricultural Science I)
農業開発問題の解決には、関係するテーマの専門的な知識に加えて、幅広い分野の理解と大きな視点が必要です。本講義では、そうした幅広い分野の基礎知識と各分野の研究・プロジェクト事例を学ぶことで、各自が研究プロジェクトや農業開発問題に取り組む際に、より広い視野で問題をとらえることができるようになることを目指します。また、本講義では、理解を深めるためにグループディスカッションを行います。その後、グループを形成してリサーチ・プロジェクトを行い、実践的な体験を通してリサーチ・プロジェクトの立案方法を学びます。
Solving agricultural development problems requires a broad understanding of the field and a larger perspective, in addition to specialized knowledge of the subject matter involved. This lecture aims to provide students with basic knowledge of such a wide range of fields and examples of research and projects in each field so that they will be able to take a broader view of the issues when tackling their own research projects and agricultural development problems. In addition, group discussions will be held in this lecture to deepen understanding. Students will then form groups to conduct research projects and learn how to plan research projects through practical experience.

授業の方法
授業はすべて英語で行われます。S1タームでは、農学の基本を体系的に講義とグループディスカッションを通して学びます。A1、A1タームでは、専門の異なるメンバーが混在するグループに分かれて調査研究を行い、報告書の作成とプレゼンテーション行います。
During S1 semester, students learn the basics of agricultural science. Systematic lectures on the basic knowledge on agriculture, and group discussion will be conducted. In the A1, A2 semesters, students will be divided into mixed groups of members with different specialties to conduct research, and make a presentation.
成績評価方法
Report (or mini-test), discussion participation, and group research project contribution (peer evaluation).

履修上の注意
グループディスカッションやグループワークの遂行に当たっては、自ら積極的に参加し、グループメンバーとの協力すること。
4月8日、及び10月7日にグループ分けをするため、必ず出席すること（なんらかの理由により出席できない場合、必ず事前に連絡）。
Students are expected to actively participate and cooperate with group members for the group discussion and group work. Please make sure to attend on Apr. 8th and Oct. 7th as we will form groups on that day. If you are unable to attend for any reason, please contact the lecturer in advance.
