Seminar in Marine Affairs I
本講義では、海洋に関わる政策的トピックについて、関連する自然科学的・社会科学的知見を総合して、分野横断的に議論を展開する。具体的課題に対する実践的 ケーススタディを通じて、専門の違いにとらわれず、問題解決に必要な知見を駆使して、受講者自らが実効的な政策を企画することを目指す。
学問分野横断的な思考の獲得および政策立案・問題解決能力を涵養する応用型の教育科目であり、海洋に係る様々な政策課題への総合的なアプローチを具体的課題に即して学ぶことを目的とする。
This is a class of "problem-based learning" on marine affairs: Students will be given series of lectures from marine specialists, policy makers, member of international organizations during the summer semester and discuss selected topics among small group of trans-disciplinary students, during the winter semester, respectively. Students are expected to create their own view by combining their own discipline and knowledge-based discussions which can be used to solve the societal problems related to the ocean.

授業計画
場の利用、資源の利用、安全な利用の３つのテーマにそって、夏学期に学内外の講師による講義を行い、冬学期に実践的演習を行う。各テーマは４つの小テーマに分類され、夏学期に合計１２回の講義を予定している。冬学期には、テーマごとに設定された具体的な海洋問題に対して、受講者自らが問題解決のためのケーススタディを行う。
毎週月曜日の18時00分から19時45分に農学部3号館220-C会議室で実施する。また、Sセメスターの講義には、柏キャンパスの大気海洋研究所講義室２（217号室）でも、遠隔講義システムを使用して参加できるようにする。
2020年4月6日（月）18時00分から、上記の２つの教室でガイダンスを行う。
"Use of sites", "Use of resources", and "Safe use" will be the three main themes of the lectures. S-semester will be provided with lectures by specialists including the ones from outside of UTokyo. A-semester will be more on practical exercises.
Each theme is classified into four minor themes, and a total of 12 lectures are scheduled for the S-semester. In the A-semester, students will conduct case-studies for problem solving in response to specific problems concerning marine affairs set for each theme.
The classes will be held on every Monday at 18:00 to 19:45 at the Meeting Room 220-C, Building 3, Faculty of Agriculture. The classes will also be conducted during the S-semester through a remote lecture system at the Lecture Room 2 (Room 217) of Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute in the Kashiwa Campus.
An orientation class will be held from 18:00 on April 6, 2020 (Monday) in the above two rooms.

履修上の注意
本講義は大学院横断型教育プログラム「海洋学際教育プログラム」の必修科目として登録されています。他の研究科で「海洋問題演習II」〜海洋問題演習V」が開講されていますが、すべて同一の科目です。
This course is registered as a required subject in "Interdisciplinary Program on Ocean Science and Policy". Note that, although "Seminar in Marine Affairs II - V" have been offered at other graduate schools, they are all the same subject as "Seminar in Marine Affairs I".
