統計力学I
Statistical Mechanics I
Through this course, we learn the concept of scaling and renormalization group for understanding critical phenomena. While the scaling and the renormalization group have concrete and precise representation in statistical mechanics, they also offer a universal viewpoint for general systems with many degrees of freedom, including field theories. We take a few models as examples, such as the Ising model, φ4 model, and XY model. Moreover, we take a look at recent developments in real-space renormalization group method based on tensor network representations.
