Theory of International Interdependence III

Learning Theory of International Relations, Peacebuilding, and Creating Research Proposal
前半部分で、「国際関係」の基礎的な理論を学びます。その後、履修した学生のリサーチプロポーザルを、みんなで議論しながら、作り上げていくことが、この授業の目標です。英語での授業ですので、英語で文献を読んでいきます。

The purpose of this course is 1) to learn basic theory of international realations and 2) to create research proposals by the students who are taking this course; they will develop and improve the quality of these research proposals by engaging with the instructor and other students.

授業計画
1)国際関係の理論、主に1)現実主義学派、2)自由主義学派、3)構成主義学派、について、主要文献を読みながら議論し、共に学びます。またアフガン、シリア、南スーダンなど平和構築の問題についても学びます。 2)履修した学生によるリサーチプロポーザルについて議論(1回目) 3)リサーチプロポーザル及び論文の書き方等について概論 4)リサーチプロポーザルについての議論(2回目) 1) Learning Theories of International Relations, 1) Realism, 2) Liberalism, 3) Constructivism  You will also learn major peacebuilding cases, such as Afghanistan, South Sudan, and Syria. 2) Presentation of research proposals by students 3) Lectures on how to create research proposals and thesis 4) Discussion of the research proposals by students (second-around)
授業の方法
この授業はセミナー方式です。 This course is the seminar with intensive discussion between instructor and students (and among students.)
成績評価方法
出席、プレゼンテーション、そして最後に提出されるリサーチプロポーザル(A4で2枚程度)によって成績評価を行います。 The eveluation will be based on the participations, presentations and final reseaerch proposals (The research proposal is about 2 to 3 pages).

Challenges of Constructing Legitimacy in Peacebuilding: Afghanistan, Iraq, Sierra Leone, and East Timor (Daisaku Higashi: Routledge 2015) それ以外の文献は、PDFで配布します。(参考書の欄に、参考文献を載せています) I will distribute reading materials through ITC-LMS. (You can see the references in the box of "Reference Books".)
