Liberal Arts for Advanced Students III
Law and Politics in International Relations
The course consists of two parts: the first part taught by Prof. Atsushi Ishida and the second taught by Dr. Tomofumi Kitamura.
The first part, “War and Peace among States,” gives an introduction to international politics by focusing on the causes of war and the conditions for sustainable peace.
The second part, "International Law and Contemporary Issues," aims to provide a general introduction to international law and its role in international affairs by examining issues such as prevention and punishment of international crimes, resolution of international maritime disputes, and protection of refugees.
