Advanced Topics in International Trade

This is a graduate level class in the modern theory of International Trade. It is a logical continuation of the graduate level class (International Trade II) offered in S1 semester. To succeed in this class, students should have good understanding of the models of trade covered in International Trade II class: Heckscher–Ohlin model; Armington model; basic Ricardian model and Eaton-Kortum model; Krugman and Meltz models. In this class we will go over papers which test these theories empirically. If time allows, we will cover empirical papers on multinational production and trade policies.
