Case Study (Project Based Learning on the Medical, Environmental and IT Innovation and the Role of Public Policy)
This class is the PBL (project base learning exercise) for public policy. Students hear the perspectives and concerns of stakeholders in the fields of medical, environmental and IT innovation and are asked to work collaboratively as a group for the problem definition and identifying and assessing policy alternatives concerning public policies.

1st day: Lectures by stakeholders including business leaders and policy makers of energy/ environmental/ IT/ education/ social innovation. Collaborative work by groups continue afterwards.
2nd day: Lectures by stakeholders including business leaders and policy makers of energy/ environmental/IT/education/ social innovation. Collaborative work by groups continue afterwards.
3rd day: Interim report by groups.
4th day: Final presentation and comments by practitioners.
Lecutures, discussion and group works.
Former politicians, bureaucrats in the ministries and businessmen will also participate in the class as experts with practitioner background.

This course focuses on identifying and assessing concrete policy alternatives based on problem definition which is the focus of course on Social Design and Global Leadership.
