This lecture consists of the following four sections;
1. Basics of star and planet formation
2. Basics of radio astronomy
3. Radio observations of star forming regions
4. Radio observations of protostellar disks and protoplanetary disks
In Sec. 1, I will review basics of star and planet formation, explaining what we understand and what we still need to study in the research of star and planet formation. In Sec. 2, I will review basics of radio observations and technique including radio interferometer. In Sec. 3, I will review radio observations of star forming regions with emphasis on gravitational infall of molecular clouds that is the fundamental for star formation. In Sec. 4, I will review radio observations of protostellar and protoplanetary disks that are considered to be the site of planet formation, explaining their physical characteristics. I will also discuss the forming processes of disks. I will try to include observations using ALMA as much as possible.
