Philosophy of Pictorial Representation
In this course, we will read a recent (2016) edited book on the philosophy of pictorial representation, particularly the views of Richard Wollhiem and the influence of Wittgenstein on them. The seminar will focus on the nature of perception, on the nature of pictorial experience in particular, and on the nature of pictures themselves.

授業計画
We will read roughly 20-30 pages per week of the the textbook.
授業の方法
Students will read the material for homework and write a short (100-200) response, which will form the basis for in-class discussion.
成績評価方法
An essay draft, and a final paper.
